I mean, for real. If I did this, it would mean that I would have to either take an online course (which is doable, I’m sure) this summer or take an 18 credit semester next year (which would suck) in order to graduate on time.
But, for real? I could work in the white house! And the application doesn’t look too difficult… maybe I’ll fill it out just to see what happens. I mean, I don’t really particularly want to go home and then just leave a month later, but it would be a really awesome internship. I want to apply for the Communications department, 2nd choice- office of the first lady.
Can you imagine my resume? 4 months at the Associated Press, followed by 3 months working in the White House? It’d be killer.
There’s also the problem that I don’t have a place to live in Washington DC, or any money to help get a place to live… But I guess we could figure that one out if I get accepted. Oh, hmm, something to ponder.
Alex, you should really try to get this internship; it would be PERFECT for you. Think about it - yeah you would be missing a semester and all, but school can always be pushed back a little. You are crazy about politics and would give your resumé an extra bang! Also it would be really cool for me to brag about you to all my friends.
And on top of all of that, you could potentially be the next Monica Lewinsky.
Think about the possibilities.
